Bond was a pastor in the Church of the Nazarene serving congregations in Kansas, Wyoming, Idaho, Oklahoma, and Colorado; as a missionary in Brazil; as president of the Nazarene Young People's Society, as chaplain and professor at Nazarene Bible College, in administration and as president of Point Loma Nazarene University, and as a general superintendent. He was married to Sally and father to Jimmy and Cristina.
