Kyra Jones is the Project Coordinator for the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council’s Victims Assistance Division. The agency is responsible for administering federal funding to organizations serving victims of crime throughout the state of Georgia. In her role, Kyra prioritizes relationship building and finding creative ways to help agencies resolve capacity and operation concerns. With the understanding that every delay has time-sensitive consequences for families receiving services, Kyra aims to remove barriers and make processes as uncomplicated as possible. She also believes that serving from the margin to the middle ensures adequate service is available to all who need assistance. Furthermore, Kyra continues working with causes like the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People and the National Council of Negro Women to combat the inequities and discrimination experienced by Black, indigenous, and people of color.
