Description / Abstract
Although much research exists on baseball pitching, there is limited research on baseball hitting to show what factors can best predict bat speed. Using 3D Motion Capture, this study shows how stance leg impulse (force x time) predicts pelvic velocity, and angular bat speed, trunk rotation (X factor), and stride length explain bat speed.
