Submitted to the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Bachelor of Science.

The automation of Duck Valley listing posts was started by the Nighthawk project of NNU's spatial analysis class. This automation allows for the easy creation of possible listening posts. It involves removing and regenerating potential listing post locations based on feature classes of geodata such as roads and lakes, where the sighting of listening posts is not feasible. The Hyperspectral Imager Suite data is gathered from a module placed on the international space station known as HISUI, or Hyperspectral Imager SUIte, launched in December 2019. This imagery data contains 185 different wavelength bands that cover visible and near-infrared to Short-wave infrared. The current investigation to gather the hyperspectral imager data is limited due to language and timezone barriers. The company called Tellus contains all the stored geodata of the HISUI. The request to access the database for the collection of geodata has been approved after an inquiry, which required time for website translation. However, the approval of access was met with another issue: accessing the database required a two-step authentication process utilizing a cellular device for SMS verification code. This has become problematic as only local Japanese cellular numbers are valid due to the location of Tellus. Troubleshooting is ongoing.
