Description / Abstract
The Human Papillomavirus (HPV) encodes a cancer-causing protein, E7, that degrades a known tumor suppressor retinoblastoma (pRb). This project studied the role of polarity in high-risk HPV16 E7. Mutations were made to HPV16 E7 to test its functionality. It was observed that pRb degradation was diminished with a concomitant decrease in polarity.
